Crime Patrol: Delhi: Kidnapped makeup artist rescued, 5 including ex-employee arrested (Episode 764, 765 on 5th, 6th February 2017)

Delhi Police today rescued a makeup artist who was abducted by five persons from Dwarka area of Delhi.

Delhi Police today rescued a high-profile makeup artist, who was abducted on October 20. The police have arrested five persons in connection with incident.
Abhishek Khetrapal (23), who owns a beauty parlour in Janak Puri locality, was abducted by his former employee for ransom.

On October 20, a missing report was filed with the police by kin of Abhishek. According to the report, Abhishek was kidnapped at around 9.15 pm. Police said that he was commissioned for an event in Dwarka from where he was reported missing. His family said that his phone was unreachable.

A day after the incident, Abhishek's mother received two ransom calls. The anonymous callers sought a ransom of Rs 2 crore. The police said that the victim's mother received two more calls before a missing persons report was filed.

MAIN ACCUSED WORKED FOR ABHISHEK

Police said, Wasim who worked for the Abhishek's mother plotted the abduction. Wasim, a native of Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, worked as a tailor at Abhishek's mother's boutique in 2011.

According to the police, Wasim was aware of the family's financial standing. Abhishek is the only son and is presently a high profile makeup artist.

Accused Vinod resident of Defence Enclave, Vikas Nagar, Mohan Garden, New Delhi. His native village is Mahwa Dhanda, PS Atroli, District Hardoi, U.P. His native place was used to keep the victim as captive.

Police received a tip off following which they conducted a raid at the Mahwa Dhanda locality in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. After a careful and elaborate operation, the victim Abhishek was safely rescued from the house owned by another accused Vinod in his native village and also the above mentioned five accused were arrested.

VICTIM FOUND SEDATED
The victim was found sedated and his hands and legs were found tied. To misguide the police, abductors were making telephonic calls for ransom from Kanpur and Lucknow.
Upon interrogation, Wasim admitted that he plotted the abduction for money. Police sources said that the five persons conducted a recce for nearly 15 days before carrying out the kidnapping.
The arrested persons have been identified as Wasim, Neeraj Sharma, Deepak, Vinod and Nasir.
