The Inside Story02 June 2014: Out of hundreds of raids,Bachpan Bachao Andolan conducts every month,one of the most astonishing case came out on 2nd June. A 14 year old minor girl was rescued from a Delhi Police constable house in RK Puram police colony by activists of BBA and Delhi police officials. The girl had several injury marks all over her body and one of the eyes was damaged. Not only she had burn marks on her arms but she was in extreme trauma and couldn't speak a word. She was trafficked from Jharkand and brought to a placement agency in Delhi. The girl later revealed that the traffickers and his friends gang-raped her and later sold her to a new household. After being tortured for five months, she managed to flee and reached the railway station where she met the head constable who offered to help her. In the constable’s house, the girl was forced to do household work and was often beaten up. The torture continued for four years and it was only after getting an anonymous complaint that a raid was conducted and the girl was rescued.An FIR has been registered under sections 370 (Buying or disposing of any person as a slave) and 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code and other provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act. The Delhi Police assured that the Head constable will be arrested.
