According to the crime branch,Nitin Bhatia (51),adriver, was picked up from Santa Cruz and handed over to the Pune police. Bhatia also stole Broker'scarandsolditin Mumbai on May 1. The two were killed over a 8,000 sq ft-bungalow,Janaki Kutir,in Juhu.
Real estate agent Ibrahim Shaikh (38) of Navpada in Bandra (E) and Ravindra Reddy (37 ) of Khar were arrested by the crime branch on Saturday. "On April 28, the three drove till Belgaum in Karnataka to zero in on a place to dump the bodies,"said a senior crime branch officer.
"Broker and Nair were killed on April 30 and their bodies were disposed of near Khandala,"he added.
"The Pune police had registered a missing person's case. Eyewitnesses had seen Shaikh and his associates visit Broker at his residence in Koregaon Park. The complaint also mentioned a bungalow deal between Broker and Shaikh," said Sanjay Satardekar, in-charge of the Bandra crime branch unit.
"We began working on the information and found out that Shaikh resided in Bandra.After his arrest,he led us t oReddy and Bhatia," he added. Shaikh and Reddy reportedly confessed to their involvement in the murders,said investigators.
"After killing them, the three returned to Broker's Pune flat to steal property documents,"said an officer.
