A YOUTH, whose body was found near the mines in Bicholi area, was murdered by his accomplices after they fell off over sharing stolen goods.
The accused Banti Chauhan and Dheeraj Sharma after their arrest told police that they had murdered Sandeep as the latter used to trouble Banti’s sister.

They said they killed Sandeep with a stone, not mentioning the use of a gun. Sandeep’s body had been found by Khajrana police who were investigating the case.

They had found three mobile number in a chit inside his pocket and the bullet which killed Sandeep. Even as the Khajrana police were investigating the case, an informer tipped off the Palasia police and they arrested Banti and Dheeraj for the murder.

However, they did not tell the entire story to Palasia police. When the Khajrana police team questioned them and confronted them with the bullet, they confessed that they had shot Sandeep.

They confessed that they had committed a few loots along the Ring Road and had a fight over sharing the spoils. So, they took Sandeep to Bicholi and murdered him.

One of the accused, Dheeraj Sharma is the son of a policeman. His father works in the DIG office. Dheeraj had been caught for his involvement in a loot in Scheme No 54, but was released due to lack of sufficient evidence.
Dheeraj used to drive a dumper in the mines and he knew that no one frequented the place and chose that spot to kill Sandeep.
