KARO: Police on Friday detained two miscreants in connection with murder of Bank officer, Nishant Pansari, who was allegedly shot dead in an incident of road rage on Tuesday night. The police team have intensified their investigation to solve the murder mystery.
Pansari's murder had shocked the locals and bank employees on Wednesday demonstrated on streets demanding immediate arrest of the criminals. Pansari was a credit manager in Bank of India who was shot dead by two motorbike borne criminals when he was returning home in his car along with his friend from a birthday party.

Banker shot in head, cops quiz girl
A young Bokaro banker, driving home from work late on Tuesday night, was shot dead from point blank range in his car in front of a colleague, triggering several probe theories from a love affair to professional hazards.
Police have detained a young woman, who studies in Ranchi, and a youth for questioning in connection with the murder of Nishant Kumar Pansari (25) who was a resident of Chira Chas and worked as a credit manager at Bank of India's Sector IV branch.
According to Nishant's colleague, neighbour and lone eyewitness Rupesh Kumar, they had to work late on Tuesday because of the upcoming bank holidays.
"We started from our Sector IV office for our homes at Chira Chas around 10.35pm and were near Asha Lata Kendra (a school for the physically challenged) in Sector V some 10 minutes later when the incident took place," Rupesh said in his statement to police.
Two youths on a bike, Rupesh told police, rammed into Nishant's white Maruti Swift from behind in Sector V, 2.5km from Sector IV and a kilometre from their Chira Chas home. The unidentified duo then overtook the car to demand Rs 100 for damages sustained in the crash. "Nishant refused. The angry biker flashed a revolver and shot him in the head before he vroomed away with his aide," the eyewitness said.
Once he overcame the shock, Rupesh dialled other colleagues and together they took Nishant to Bokaro General Hospital, 3km away, but doctors declared the youth brought dead.
Senior police officers, including Bokaro SP Y.S. Ramesh, city DSP Ajay Kumar, Chas DSP Arvind Kumar and Sector V OC Nutan Modi, inspected the crime site on Wednesday morning.
DSP Ajay said they found it difficult to believe that the banker was shot dead for just Rs 100. "There has to be more motive and we are investigating four angles - a love affair gone awry, a land dispute, professional hazards and on-the-spot rage, the last as claimed by the witness," he said.
Sources in police maintained that on Wednesday afternoon, they had detained a 22-year-old woman who lives in Bokaro Thermal, but studies in a Ranchi college, and another youth from her neighbourhood.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that Nishant, a native of Gomia in Bokaro district, graduated from Marwari College in Ranchi. After he got a bank job, he moved with his parents, elder brother and his family to Kapila Enclave in Chira Chas.
Since his college days in 2011, Nishant had an affair with a girl, but her parents were against their relationship, a possible trigger for murder in a country where killing for caste and honour is not uncommon. Also, Nishant had recently bought a controversial plot of land in Gomia, which land sharks hadn't taken very kindly to.
DSP Ajay also pointed to loan gripes, a common hazard that bank professionals face when they don't sanction credit to a client. "We have to probe every angle and cannot jump to conclusions yet," the officer insisted.
Bereaved father Arun Lal Pansari, however, firmly believes that either Nishant's affair or interest in realty led to his untimely death. "My son was a good natured young man. He was loved by all. But, he shouldn't have met this girl or bought that cursed land," the elderly man sobbed.

Jilted lover planned Bokaro banker's murder: Police
Bokaro: Nishant Pansari, the 28-year-old bank employee who was killed on December 22 for not paying Rs 200, was murdered by hired goons, police said on Thursday. A Ranchi-based businessman was arrested in this connection on Thursday.
Pansari, who was a credit manager at Bank of India, was shot dead in Sector V when he was returning from a colleague's birthday party. The police said the murder was planned by Vikas Jaiswal, a former lover of Pansari's girlfriend. Jaiswal hired two shooters to carry out the killing.
The police earlier believed that Pansari's death was a case of road rage. The incident sent shock waves in the industrial town.
Call detail reports (CDR) of Pansari and his 25-year-old girlfriend's mobile phones helped the investigating team solve the case. Chas DSP Arvind Kumar Sinha, who headed the special team investigating the case, said, "We found out that he (Pansari) was in a relationship with the girl since 2012."
The girl, who is preparing for banking exams, knew Jaiswal since 2009 and they were in a relationship till the girl met Pansari in 2012. She started ignoring Jaiswal, but the police said her phone call details showed that the girl was still in touch with Jaiswal.
Bokaro SP Y S Ramesh said both the girl and Pansari were residents of Bokaro and the girl was planning to marry Pansari. "Jaiswal was married, but he sought divorce from his wife for the girl. Jaiswal had threatened to kill Pansari if the girl did not return to him, but she did not take heed. But Jaiswal decided to take revenge, got Pansari's photo and traced his house in Bokaro," said the SP.
Jaiswal then hatched a plan to kill Pansari and hired the two two goons. The men hit Pansari's car on the night of December 22 and then asked for Rs 200 in compensation. When Pansari refused to pay them, they shot him.
