"Recently, the girl started avoiding Bhat. Angry at having been rejected, he started sending objectionable messages to the girl. She brushed them off, but was alarmed when her friends told her that there was a Facebook profile with her name, with vulgar messages and photographs," said a police officer from Badlapur police station.
The girl turned to her parents, who accompanied her to Ghatkopar police station and registered an FIR against Bhat. The Ghatkopar police then transferred the complaint to the Badlapur, who proceeded with the arrest. "After investigating the matter, we arrested Bhat and he will be kept in police custody till April 13.
