The case was blind for the investigation team, the police as initial inquiries failed to trace any dispute and were Clueless about the motive.

Mumbai Police registered a murder case and started a probe and during the course of the investigation, police got hold of a CCTV footage of an unidentified person entering the same hotel room where the victim dead body was found. But the man caught on camera had cleverly concealed himself from the CCTV camera.

Further, in the investigation, the police team picked up deceased's friend Martin. "Martin was supposed to come along with Satish but he dropped the plan at last moment which had raised a suspicion.

In interrogation, Martin revealed, the victim had suffered huge losses in the gold jewellery business. He owed 16 kgs of gold and got bankrupt of his a housing and personal loan.

By then another team, then traced Satish travel plan and got hold of CCTV footages of bus depots in Coimbatore wherein deceased was found moving with two other persons later identified as Mohammed Riyaz and Sarvanam two noted criminals.

"Satish had planned that if he commits suicide all the problems will end but at the same time Satish said that if he commits suicide his family will not get insurance money and hence decided to make his suicide as murder," said, DCP Shahji Umap.

On January 14, Satish and Riyaz entered the lodge taking care that his face does not come from the CCTV camera.
